Dithiophosphate BS is a yellow to dark-brown aqueous solution used in mining as a flotation reagent or “collector” for various sulfide ores, particularly gold, copper, silver, and zinc. It is an effective collector because it is selective for these minerals while having a weak collecting power for pyrite in alkaline circuits, and it has minimal frothing ability, so it is often used with a separate frothing agent.
Product Applications
Sodium Dinitrophenol is an effective collector for gold ores and sulfide ores of silver,
copper, and zinc. It has very weak collecting ability for pyrite in alkaline circuits, and
this product only has very weak foaming properties.
